How can I get my Canon Pixma MP600 to print in black without using color ink?

They said I couldn't. I said if I loose my job I am going to sue them. I needed to print a document in black and and mail it special delivery. My printer stopped when it ran out of color ink, as it needed COLOR ink to continue printing IN BLACK. I had no time to go buy color ink. They could not help me over the phone. I think we need a class action suit against Canon. They force us to buy color when all we need is black.How can I get my Canon Pixma MP600 to print in black without using color ink?

when you are printing documents,click on print--%26gt;properties--%26gt;paper/quality--%26gt;sel鈥?black and while--%26gt;click ok. This should print the document in black and white. Do let me know if it did work or not.
