The standard package cartridge given is number 40 (S$29.90, 16ml) for black and 41 (S$37.90, 4mlx3) for colour. Its practical if you don't print much photo, otherwise you got to get an individual cartridge type which is higher end model for canon.Re: Canon Pixma Mp160, How is the ink consumption of this printer? Check some of the magazines for reviews of this unit. PCWeekly and CNet both have fairly large data bases on reviews. Have had Canon printers in the past and they were not as bad as others at the time. Some of the Canons have a small ink supply cartridge and it is the same price for those as for a larger one from other makers.
