How to install ink catridges for Canon MX310?

We just bought a brand new, hot-off-the-truck, Canon Pixma MX310 MFP from Office Depot. We were so excited about having this sleek printer added to our already expanding MFP family at the house, we automatically assumed it came with the USB cord. No problem, just a quick trip back to the store.


The next problem concerned the ink cartridges. The directions looked simple enough, but when we attempted to insert them, it did not work. No click. They are LOOSE. It feels like something is missing, like a part or the ';holder'; itself! It's like they have nothing to attach to!


It does say something about the fine catridge remover automatically moves to the left. I'm guessing the printer has to be on already or something?How to install ink catridges for Canon MX310?
I'm assuming when you said ';fine catridge'; you meant FINE cartridge. FINE is an acronym for the Canon Ink Cartridges. Anyhow, plug your printer into the electrical outlet and turn the power on. Wait about 1-3 minutes and open it up and the Ink Cartridge holders should move to the left for you to properly insert your Ink Cartridges.How to install ink catridges for Canon MX310?
