Ok so when I had ink in my printer it all worked fine. And now as soon as i've run out, the scanner doesn't work either. Is that normal? My friend mentioned something about it, but I can't find anything online. Can anyone help?Canon Pixma MP140 has run out of ink, therefore no scanning?
Yep. sad but true, if there is no ink, it sees it as an error and will not operate...won't even scan, like you said. Been there before, too. I had to buy replacement ink to make it work again...dude, it sucked. that's why i went to laser printers.
