Someone please help on putting in a new ink cartridge for a canon printer?!:(?

So idk why but my dad threw away the ink cartridges for our canon pixma iP1600 printer.


So I went to go buy ONLY the color one.


But the thing is,


that idk how to put in a new ink cartridge cause I've actually refilled or gotten a new one.


And i've tried looking at the manual,


doesnt help at all


Can someone please give me instructions on how to put a new ink cartridge?Someone please help on putting in a new ink cartridge for a canon printer?!:(?
I don't know if my way works since i don't have your printer but most of the printers are the same.





First, open the ink cartridge. Try looking for places that allows you to open. It should be near where you insert the paper but not all printer has the same setup.





Second, since your dad threw away the old ink, i'm assuming you don't have any ink inserted in the printer. By the way, for most color printers to print, you'll need the color ink AND the black ink.





The color ink goes into the place where it has a logo that has three circles (i believe the colors are pink yellow blue or smth similar) and the black ink goes to the place where theres a single black circle logo. Just push it in and close the hatch.

Go to the link below and click on the link named ip1600qsg_en.pdf,then on the next page accept the agreement,then the manual will come up,it is a PDF file so you will need like acrobat reader to read it.then read page 5,6 and 7,that's showing you how to install the print cartridges.The color cartridge goes on the right under C tilt the top of the cartridge toward you a little then slide the bottom in all the way,making sure its at the bottom of the slot,then push up and in on the top part of the cartridge until it clicks in place.Make sure you pull the tape off the cartridge and don't touch any contacts on it either.need more help email me.
