Has anyone ever refilled ink cartridges for the Canon PIXMA iP4300 ???

I have a Canon iP4300 and I cannot get it to except my newly refilled cartridges. I am working on a mac if that makes any difference.Has anyone ever refilled ink cartridges for the Canon PIXMA iP4300 ???
Actually, you can override this.

Install refilled cartridges and attempt to send a print job.

Messages appear on screen (3, I think) that basically tell you that you're going to hell for using 3rd party inks. Just click ';continue'; or ';ok';.

Last message tells you to override the ink level indicator by pressing and holding the resume button for 3-5 seconds.

Do it . You might have to re-send your print job.

Oh, you'll have to do this for each installed tank.Has anyone ever refilled ink cartridges for the Canon PIXMA iP4300 ???
i'm not sure which cartridges that one takes right off hand, but if you have a reset button on your printer, try holding it down for about 5 seconds. that should release the ink status munitor function.
i have an ip4300 and only buy new canon cartridges, never refilled, ruined my last canon using refills because they are usually watered down
Take the cartridges out of the printer and reinstall them again, there is no reset button on the printer, turn the printer off and restart it again, you might have to do it a couple times but it usually works the first time, hope this helped and good luck.
They actually have a smart chip with a 256 bit encyption, you cannot over ride this. you do need to replace the chip, or the cartridge.
