My printer is a canon ip1600,i have refilled my ink cartridges and when i try to print it says the ink empty?

can anyone help,is there something i am doing wrong when i replace the cartridgesMy printer is a canon ip1600,i have refilled my ink cartridges and when i try to print it says the ink empty?
Your not doing anything wrong, the Canon IP 1600 is still quite a shock for me, why Canon would make a printer like this I will never know, once you remove the cartridge, you will need to reset the chip does not matter how much ink is in the cartridge, dumbest move Canon made I ever seen, sorry,hope this helped and good luck.My printer is a canon ip1600,i have refilled my ink cartridges and when i try to print it says the ink empty?
The cartridge have a chip.





They will continue to read as empty, until you replace the cartridge. Refilling a new canon does not work.





There is no chip resetter currently available for the Cali-8 or PGI-5 canon cartridges.
The cartridges are CHIPPED and you need a chip resetter, you cannot simply put ink in them
