not sure on what ,model you have but i've done this myself on my S300 and i560. There should be small slats on the body of the printer. small flat ones that allow a flat head screwdriver to be insterted. Press down in those clips i beleive, and lift the cover off. now there should be 2 or 3 screws, screwed into the bottom base of the printer. take them out. then lift the printer mechisism out. 3 big white/black pads will be there. Wash them out with hot water until most of the ink is gone(not coming off into water). Clean the bottom base of the printer where those pads are. after that, put the pads in the exact order they were in before you took them out. Screw the printer mechisim back into the bottom base, the snap the main cover back on. if this error still comes up follow this code
1) Power off printer
2) Hold RESUME button then press and hold POWER. (The beeper MAY sound once, or may not depending on your model.)
3) Hold POWER and Release RESUME.
4) Press RESUME twice then release both POWER and RESUME buttons.
5) When the indicator lights steady, press RESUME 4 times (for the S900, 3 times for the 8200 apparently).
6) Press power to set data.
7) Print away
This code works on almost all printers that have this problem. Please ignore the S900 and 8200 models. works for many others. My Canon Pixma printer's Waste ink absorber is full. How can I service it myself?
