If I wanted to start printing my photographs for sale at a fair. Which photo printer should I use?

What price range of photo printer should I look at?If I wanted to start printing my photographs for sale at a fair. Which photo printer should I use?
As Fishmeister said you need to be using a very good expensive printer. In reality you are much better off using a pro lab to print your photos. By pro lab I don't mean Wal-Mart or CVS but a real pro photo lab.

It actually costs more to print them at home than it does to have them printed. Unless you want the control of doing your own prints have them done elsewhere.

If you are selling your work at art shows and fairs you want to keep your costs as low as possible. People are not willing to pay a lot of money at most of these types of events. You will also have to have far more inventory than you can ever hope to sell at one of these places so cost is going to be a big factor. Use a pro lab for your prints and buy your frames, mats and backer board in bulk. Preferably from a wholesaler. If I wanted to start printing my photographs for sale at a fair. If you are going to be selling them I would expect you to be using a printer like this..

or preferably better.

You can not just knock up prints on a 拢30 Bubblejet on cheap paper. If you are doing your own printing then I assume you have your monitor calibrated properly (using a Spyder Pro), and you are aware of what types of paper you need to use for certain images?.

If all of this is above your head, and the price of the printers is a little much.. Then just do the sensible thing and go to a local printers for the time being and have a pro print them for you.

.
Epson makes very affordable, high quality photo printers.

The price is the printer is usually quite decent but remember that Ink for the printers is usually the most expensive part of owning and servicing one of these machines
