Why does my canon MP370 say 'WASTE INK NEAR FULL?'?

and it has stopped printing. There is no mention of this in Reference Guide! Why does my canon MP370 say 'WASTE INK NEAR FULL?'?
How competent are you at taking a printer to pieces? It means the ink pad inside the machine is soaked and needs changing. I have an Epson C66, opened it up, ran the pad under the tap until it ran clear, dried it slowly, put it back in. Or you could find your nearest canon supplier and arrange for them to change it for you.
