I bought new black and colour ink cartridges for my Canon BJC-2100SP which my sister recently gave to me because she never used it but it prints out photos badly coloured and covered in lines! Is this because the printer hasn't been used in so long, possibly over a year Is there anyway i could fix this? Would cleaning it help? Or is it worthless now that it's so ancient?Canon BJC-2100SP prints bad coloured with new ink?
If a head cleaning doesn't work (via the printer control panel in Windows) then the problem may lie in the ink cartridges or head. If both cartridges are new or refilled, then problem is the print head. In that case the printer is basically junk as a new head is not orderable.
