Have you reset the ink levels in maintenance and set them to the printer? If you don't the printer still thinks the cartridges are still empty and wont print. Why is my canon 1300 printer not printing just put new ink in it but wont work?
Have you run a test page? It may need re-aligning or an ink check.

Canon iP4200 printer ink tank errors no printing?
If you mean the printer can not recognize the ink, you can install the inks again.
1) Turn on the printer; take out the cartridges and shake them
2) Turn off the printer for a few minutes
3) Turn on the printer, when it says ';insert inks';, and then insert the compatible cartridges one by one, making sure the cartridges are sitting completely in the slots.Canon iP4200 printer ink tank errors no printing?

Where are the ink cartridges located for a canon mp600?
I've had this printer for year or so and the only time I've messed with the ink cartridges was when I got it, and I haven't used it since. I've since lost the directions. Now the printer is telling me it can't recognize my black cartridge and I need to see what's going on with it, but I can't remember where the ink's located. Help?Where are the ink cartridges located for a canon mp600?
Turn on printer. Lift the scanner portion of the printer open. The ink carriage will automatically move to the middle.
Here is the link for online manual:

The ';Easy Setup Instructions'; has pictures how to open. You'll need an Adobe Reader to open the pdf file.laons

Canon MP268 Ink refill question!!?
Hi, I brought a printer and ran out of black ink. Then, I refilled the ink cartilage. I'm sure i did that part correctly. However, after refilling, the black ink tank shows up empty on my computer.
Is there any way i could reset the chip on the ink cartilage?Canon MP268 Ink refill question!!?
It will never show full with refills as the printer thinks that cartridge is empty as the chip in it has told the printer that it's empty and it can not look inside to see there is now ink in it.
Once that cartridge has been registered empty that's it. It should still print but you will not get it show full ink levels.
The chip is a bit like buying a cinema ticket. You pay and get a ticket that allows you to watch the film.
Once the film has finished you leave (the chip tells you empty cartridge). The cinema does not allow you to use the ticket again and the chip does not allow you to use it again once empty.
So if you can refill it and if it prints then be grateful as a lot do not. The ink levels are just a guide anyway and are never accurate. You will know when it needs refilling as your printouts will tell you by their quality.Canon MP268 Ink refill question!!?
No printer manufacturer recommends refilling cartrdiges. The printer cannot detect how much ink remains and there is the possibility of serious damage to your printer which cannot be repaired under warranty as your use of refills has voided the warranty
Simple answer = NO
I have a MP210 and forever having trouble with refilled ink cart's.
And I can't refill the colour 1 either, which is a bit annoying.
Even shop bought reconditioned cartridges are not reset to show ink level.

My Canon iP1800 says it can't print because it's out of black ink?
I refilled and loaded the cartridge and same thing, so I broke down and bought a brand new cartridge and still saying same thing. Any help out there? My Canon iP1800 says it can't print because it's out of black ink?
you put it in wrongMy Canon iP1800 says it can't print because it's out of black ink?
I would contact Canon about this. Maybe they had these issues come up before and they can give you some instructions on how to fix it. My boyfriend has the same make/model printer, but we never had that issue.
If all else fails, get a new printer.
Hope it all works out for you.
